Mira Road has been perceived to be a far-flung region of Mumbai. It is an area that has been known for its salt pans and picture-perfect mangroves. In the earlier days, basic facilities like electricity and water supply were not constant. However, now, this agricultural land has come to spell comfort, convenience and connectivity in the present day. It is now one of Mumbai's most sought-after residential destinations in the western suburbs. It has transformed into a peaceful locality with tree-lined roads, backed by superlative civic and social infrastructure.

A slew of infrastructural developments has added to the growth story of this part of Mumbai. The proposed Andheri - Dahisar - Mira - Bhayandar metro line ( 9,7, 2A) will drop 30 km f travelling outlay between the Mumbai suburbs and Mira-Bhayandar:

Line 9: Mira Bhayandar east to Dahisar east

Line 7: Dahisar east to Andheri east

Line 2A: Dahisar to DN Nagar (Andheri west)

Line 2B: will be an added extension that will connect Mankhurd and DN Nagar.

Some other developments include three upcoming flyovers on Mira Bhayandar road, a Borivali-Thane tunnel road that will cut the travel time between both the suburbs to about 15 minutes and a four-lane Gorai-Bhayandar road for a smooth commute experience. A 45-metre wide road from the current Link Road at Dahisar to Bhayandar (West) in the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation Limits has also been approved. This is a way to decongest traffic at the Dahisar checknaka. These developments will ease the traffic and ensure that people are able to travel hassle-free with peace of mind. The Goregaon-Mulund Link Road will also be a gamechanger when it comes to east-west connectivity. Since most office hubs are in Andheri and Mindspace in Malad, commuting to and fro from Mira Road will be a breeze.
